Seattle City Light, SR 20, Newhalem, Washington Skagit General Store and Visitor Information Center

The store is open 7 days a week all winter Mon - Fri, 7:30 to 5 Sat - Sun, 10 to 5 Inside Seating for Enjoying Hot Soup, Sandwiches, Coffee, Fudge and Great Gifts.   Visitors Information Center across the street is open the same hours as the store and has heated restrooms! Nearby, only a couple of minutes away, in the North Cascades National Park, you will find camping, hiking, game and bird viewing. Mountain goats can occasionally be spotted from the Sterling Munro Viewpoint. To truly appreciate this beautiful area, you need to visit in the winter, spring, summer and fall.
